Mid-Day House Fire - S. Chilhowee Drive (1/14/08) New!

Responding Units:  Engine 16, ENGINE 6, Engine1, Squad 4, Rescue 1, Car 82, Car 70, Car 52, Car 41, Arson Task Force

Engine 6 arrived on scene 2nd due to  this single story occupied home.

Engine 6 crew assisted Engine 16 with fire attack as Squad 4 took to search. Heavy fire conditions were found on the first floor; crews made a good stop. The home was cleared;  the primary and secondary searches were negative.
 
 

Suspicious Vehicle Fire - Beaman Lake Drive (12/11/07)

Responding Units:  ENGINE 6, Arson Task Force

Engine 6 responded to this well-   involved truck fire.

Engine 6 found heavy fire in the passenger compartment. Quick work was made of this fire with  an 1-3/4 jump line. Engine 6 mopped up and awaited the arrival of the Arson Squad.
 
 

House Fire - Skyline Drive (11/30/07) New!

Responding Units:  Engine 16, ENGINE 6, Squad 4, Engine 1, Rescue 1, Car 82, Arson Task Force

Engine 6 responded as the 2nd due engine and arrived with heavy fire conditions present.

Engine 6 went to work forcing entry to make a search as The Squad initiated fire attack on this occupied home. The home was well involved and had a head start on responding units as the owners were not at home. After a combined attack by responding companies, the fire was contained to the initial involvement area.

Apartment Fire - Linden Avenue (11/25/07)

Responding Units:  Squad 4, Engine 1, Engine 2, ENGINE 6, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Car 82, Car 54, Car 52, Car 41, Arson Task Force

Engine 6 responded as the safety company to this single alarm     apartment fire.

Crews were met with multiple patients as E6, E1, & E2 assisted with removals from the upper floors. Squad 4 arrived on this "activated alarm" and quickly transmitted a  working fire on the 2nd floor. Having no standpipes or sprinklers, handlines were put into service and crews held this fire to a single unit.

MVA with a Pin - Delrose Avenue (11/20/07)

Responding Units:  ENGINE 6, Rescue 1

This stolen 2004 Mercedes was spotted by KPD in            East Knoxville and fled before KPD could stop it. Police and Fire responded to an MVA into a house with 2 pinned shortly after. The driver freed himself and ran while the passenger had      to be extricated by members of Engine 6
 

House Fire - Louise Ave. @ Chestnut St. (11/5/07)

Responding Units:  Squad 4, ENGINE 6, Engine 1, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Car 82, Car 52, Arson Task Force

Engine 6 was the second due engine  and laid a 3" supply line to Squad 4.

Damage to the rear, companies     arrived with heavy fire conditions. Front of home during overhaul after successful interior attack. Engine 6 at work on this working house fire.
