Skyline Avenue House Fire - E16, ENGINE 6, SQ4, E1, HM18, Car 82 (11/30/07) New!

  *This occupied residential came in with multiple calls and heavy fire showing on Squad 4's arrival.  ENGINE 6 arrived 2nd due and immediately went to work.  While The Squad took up an offensive attack putting an 1-3/4" handline in use, ENGINE 6 made a search of the home with negative findings and then took up assisting with fire attack.  This fast-moving fire had a jump on responding companies as the owners were not home at the time.  E16 assisted with attack and ventilation, E1 served as the RIT/safety company and HM18 responded for manpower as R1 was on another run.

Linden Avenue Apartment Fire - SQ4, E1, E2, ENGINE 6, L1, R1, Car 82 (11/25/07)

  *This mid-afternoon fire came in as an "activated fire alarm" in a three story low-rise apartment building.  Squad 4 arrived on scene and reported a "working fire" on the second floor.  The building had no sprinklers or standpipe so the Squad stretched an 1-3/4 handline to the 2nd floor.  The fire was contained to one unit however multiple patients were treated and transported for smoke inhalation.   ENGINE 6 arrived as the 3rd engine and assisted with search and victim removals from the upper floors.

Louise Avenue House Fire - SQ4, ENGINE 6, E1, L1, R1, Car 82 (11/5/07)

  *This suspicious 3am blaze broke out two blocks from Squad 4's house and they were on scene within seconds with heavy fire through the roof on the C & D sides of this occupied home and put an 1-3/4 line in service. ENGINE 6 arrived 2nd due and laid a 3" supply into Squad 4 and then went to work with a second 1-3/4 handline.  Initial reports stated multiple victims trapped, however searches were negative.  E1, L1, and R1 assisted with attack, ventilation and search.

Valley View Drive House Fire (with a rescue) - E11, E15, ENGINE 6, L15, R1, Car 84

  *Smoking near a home oxygen tank sparked this blaze.  The crew from Engine 11-A made a quick grab on a victim inside as they began a search with reports of the homeowner still inside.  ENGINE 6 made it in as the safety company and went to work with attack crews and assisted Ladder 15 with overhaul.
 
 
Riverview Drive House Fire - ENGINE 6, E16, E1, SQ4, E2, E3, R1, Car 81
  * This fire required some additional companies due to tough interior fire conditions, size of structure, and injured victims encountered upon arrival.  ENGINE 6 made this first-due fire with heavy smoke and fire showing, stretched and 1-3/4 line and began attack as Squad 4 began search and Engine 16 laid a supply line into 6. 
 
 
Nichols Avenue House Fire (with 3 rescues) - SQ4, ENGINE6, E16, E3, E1, E2, R1, Car 82
  *With a family of 4 at home, and heavy fire showing upon Squad 4's arrival, companies quickly located and removed two adults and two children, all unconscious and clinging to life.  One adult perished, mother and two children saved.  ENGINE 6 made this fire 2nd due, 6's driver assisted with water while rest of crew assisted with search/rescue ops.
 
 
Rutledege Pike Building Fire - ENGINE 6, E16, E11, SQ4, Car 82
  *Not many activated fire alarms sound after midnight in Burlington, so it wasn't any surprise to roll up on a good commercial worker this night.  The body shop evidently had some "extra-curricular activities" going on after dark.  ENGINE 6 rolled up on this first-duer and quickly forced entry and began an aggressive interior attack.
 
 
Belleview Road House Fire - E11, E15, ENGINE 6, E16, L15, R1, Car 82
  *This stubborn fire had crews chasing flames between floors, the basement, and walls.  ENGINE 6 made good time and made this as a 2nd due company, laying a line from a hydrant to Engine 11, assisted with fire attack, and helped Ladder 15 and Engine 16 with overhaul.
